11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Here we have scripture telling us that a "2nd Beast" while arise from the Earth, where the first beast came from the waters (like the sea). Later, we will discuss the nature of the water and the earth and what that means in terms of how the "beasts" appear on the scene of world history. In the interest of time, we will merely discuss the "False Prophet" and his "ministry" to Anti-Christ.
FAST FORWARD A LITTLE BIT:
In the end of days there will be one who comes to power whom we, on this side of the Rapture refer to as the Anti-Christ. This name literally means, "opposed to Christ, Pseudo-Christ, or a fake Christ".
In the Old Testament the kings of Israel had a prophet or priest that ministered to them and gave them words and visions from God and they, dependent on their good sense, would listen and obey the voice of God as it pertained to leading God's people Israel.
In like manner, this anti-christ will rise to power as a man of peace and will eventually be seen as the Messiah. As "king" he will have a prophet that will advise him as well as advise the rest of the world on religious matters. During the end of days true religion will be outlawed, but there will be a form of religion allowed and it will be the worship of idols erected to the anti-christ. He is a false prophet, but he is a man who in the beginning will be admired for his spiritual gifts and leadership skills.
TAKING A LOOK AT CURRENT EVENTS:
On June the 8th 2014 the Church celebrated what is traditionally known as Pentecost, a day that commemorates the giving of the Holy Spirit while the Jews celebrated their "Feast of Weeks" (Acts 2). It was on this day that the new Pope, St. Francis invited Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli President Shimon Peres to have a Prayer Summit to pray for peace between the warring neighbors of Palestine and Israel. Each sect prayed to their respective gods in their own respective tongues for the same cause.....Peace. Let me show you what scripture says of peace in the middle east.
For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. -- 1 Thess 5.3 NKJV
It has never been the intention of either group to compromise a two-state solution in the middle east and over the land of Israel. That is God's land and it is not up to the Pope, John Kerry, or anyone else to try to divide it.
To see the Catholics, Palestinians, and Israelis praying at the Vatican on Pentecost is a sign that we all need to start getting right with the One True God, YHWH, of the Bible and His Son, the Messiah, Jesus Christ.
The scene is being set and the chess pieces are in place. It is simply a matter of moments before we hear the trumpet of the Lord sound and the dead in Christ will rise first and the rest of us who remain alive will be Raptured to Him in the air. Things are unfolding exactly as the Bible says they will, the thing is that nobody is looking in the Bible.
